This mixed media Hare was created using a variety of salvaged materials from salvaged Harris tweed scraps to old encyclopaedia pages. Primarily made from corrugated card she is embellished with paper and fabric collected from samplebooks, recycled buttons and machine sewn highlights.
This unusual marrying of materials highlights the value of the stuff we throw away everyday. The process is often called ‘creative reuse’ and aims to reduce the amount of valuable resources bound for landfill by giving them a second life.
