This mixed media piece was created using a variety of salvaged materials:
Coffee Pod packaging, Mars Easter Egg packaging, upholstery scraps, reclaimed buttons and wallpaper samples. Finished with a highlight of hand embroidery.
This unusual marrying of materials highlights the value of the stuff we throw away everyday. The process is often called ‘creative reuse’ and aims to reduce the amount of valuable resources bound for landfill by giving them a second life
