Commissions

Pet portrait, Dog

Commissions are one of my favourite things to create.

It’s very easy to commission me to create an art piece for you.

A personal commission usually takes one of three forms, either personalising one of my existing designs, requesting a new product or creating a unique art piece.

Adapting an Existing Design

I’m happy to personalise existing designs in a whole host of different ways. Be it colours of your choice, using local maps with areas of interest or even incorporating your personal nik-naks.

Just get in touch either through social media or email.

New Products Creation

I’m always pleased to undertake new designs. Quite often I’m thinking of making new products but don’t get around to it. When someone requests I make a particular animal I’m delighted to as I can add that to my range at a later date.

Just get in touch either through social media or email.

A Unique Art Piece

Unique art pieces are often the ones that tell a personal story and are individual to a client.

They usually take the form of a treasured family pet or an animal that is not native to the UK. They can include items of significance such as scraps of a dog bed or maps of favourite walks.

These pieces usually involve more discussion so I have a form you can fill in to collect all the data I will need to undertake your request. Emailing me is the preferred method when commissioning a piece of this type so I can email you the guiding form.

What Happens Next?

After emailing or messaging me with your initial enquiry we will work out you size/ budget requirements.

I will then draw up a couple of poses for you to choose a composition e.g. bird sitting on a branch, bird flying or bird in a nest etc.

Once you have chosen how you would like your subject to look I will either mock up a second sketch for you to confirm or I will commence with the commission. It is at this point that I will require the full fee.

Once I have received payment I will then be able to give you an estimated date of completion. If you intend to send me items of significance I will wait until I have received those before scheduling you in.

It’s worth noting that I do get busy so it can quite often take a couple of months to complete larger commissions. If you are buying a piece to celebrate an occasion it’s worth contacting me well in advance of the date.

You can choose if you’d like to see ‘work in progress’ shots as I create your piece or leave it for a surprise at the end.
